Spring Changes

Spring Changes

Spring is in the air and you can feel it everywhere. The last month has been buzzing with the café refresh! It has been a flurry of emails and early morning installations, but we are almost ready to debut our new café. Steel frames are up and gorgeous oriental glass lanterns softly light the space. The eating area is surrounded by a fun, short wall of wood cubes that hold a gorgeous array of wines from Domaine des Tourelles, Ksara, Masaya, Domaine Wardy, a bunch of amazing Moroccan wines by Ouled Thaleb, as well as a myriad of Sahadi’s curated foodstuffs in a jewel of colors, patterns and containers. The ceiling is alive with grapevines and soft leaves.

It looks amazing. From its inception at the Industry City design studios to its execution, it has been a flurry of activity and construction. Wide bands of canvas silkscreened with our name and logo now delineate our eating areas from the public spaces. It feels like a wonderful blend of inside and outside seamlessly fitting together when the doors are all open. Lightness and air combine with a much more intimate space conducive to parties using some or all of the spaces.

We are thrilled to be able to finally offer a selection of spaces for brunch, late night snacks or just meze (small Lebanese bites) all day. We look forward to hosting live music inside again.  While we really enjoyed being able to offer all of this in our heated tent, it will be fun to use both inside and outside for events down the road.

While we have made a lot of changes since the store opened in 2019, this café construction feels like the last pieces are finally falling into place. The Industry City location is finding its stride and looking forward to more full service events in our amazing new space and welcoming many more guests with our warm Lebanese hospitality.
