Fennel - Ground

Native to South America, Asia, and Africa, ground fennel is made from a green oblong seed and is similar in flavor to anise. A welcome addition to many dishes and recipes, from spaghetti sauces and meat rubs to sausages and sauteed onions, ground fennel has a particular affinity for salmon, where even just a dash can heighten the simplest preparation.
